All metal parts and majority of other components of BMF machines are produced on site. Only such elements as hubs or valve blocks, for example, come from other European quality producers.

Essential steel components of cranes bear the quality sign of Strenx®, which marks high strength structural steel provided by Swedish steel manufacturer SSAB. In addition, BMF is a qualified member of Hardox® In My Body program of SSAB, which certifies that BMF manufactures superior products, namely grapples, using Hardox® wear plate.

BMF has developed a wide and versatile product base that consists of about 13 main trailer and 9 crane models that can be combined in a number of different sets. At the moment, BMF product range includes single and double-beam trailers with payload ranging from 6 to 18 tonnes. Cranes are available with reach from 4,3 to 10 meters. For added flexibility, BMF trailers can be combined with several cranes. For example, BMF 12T2 trailer can hold BMF 650, BMF 720, BMF 750, BMF 850 or BMF 905 crane. Further information about the available options can be found from BMF webpage at www.bmf.ee. Many trailers are available in two versions: as standard and pro models. HD and HD+ versions of high-end cranes have higher capacity.

Main advantages of BMF trailers include the following: durable powder-coated surfaces; unique robust drawbar design that protects the oil pump; lowered centre of gravity for stability; protected support leg cylinders and optional Pro bolsters. BMF cranes are characterized by solid turning houses, hidden hydraulic hoses, booms that are made of very tough steel My Inner Strenx®, grapples that are made of Hardox® steel, shafts with easily accessible greasing points and powder-coated surfaces.

BMF trailers and cranes can be equipped with numerous accessories, for example frame extensions, lights, winches and grapple options. Among other things, BMF offers Robson and
Black Bruin drive systems that provide extra power for harsh conditions and make pulling heavy loads easier. In autumn 2021, BMF introduced a new log skidding grapple and a hay bale frame for its trailers. BMF grapple range includes grapples in sizes ranging from 0,15 m2 to 0,37m2. There are special grapple versions for logs, energy wood and bulk material. As mentioned above, all BMF grapples are made of Hardox® and have bronze bearings that guarantee long-lasting performance.

Wide variety of accessories, model versions and different combinations of cranes and trailers allow BMF to offer almost tailor-made solutions for particular needs. BMF products are highly valued by hobby farmers as well as forest professionals, who appreciate reliability and increased efficiency. Careful selection of components and the use of superior steel ensures robust, yet functional design and seamless operation. Using a forestry trailer set is an ideal solution for forest owners, whose main focus is agriculture, but it can certainly do the job for forestry professionals as well. BMF sets can handle heavy loads and rather bulky logs in combination with an agricultural tractor and there is no need for specialised harvester of forwarder. Now the whole BMF forestry trailer range has EU whole-vehicle type-approval according to EU regulation No. 167/2013, meaning it is allowed to use BMF trailers on public roads in all the EU countries and EU’s neighbouring countries that apply the regulation.

Due to constant product development, wide product range and really good price and quality relation, BMF has increased its production volume every year by 15-20%. In 2020 BMF produced more than 1000 cranes and 700 trailers. As of today, main markets of BMF are Germany, Austria and Slovenia, however BMF is represented by dealers in about 20 countries across the globe.
