Forstmesse – The meeting place of the forestry and timber industry

Forstmesse 21 to 24 August 2025 the forestry and timber industry. With 22,000 visitors – forestry professionals, forest owners, outfitters and many experts – and around 220 exhibitors – the forestry fair is the largest Swiss trade fair for forests and wood. It creates an excellent platform for new and further developments in forest management and trends in timber harvesting technology and forest logistics, with added value and diversity guaranteed.

ForestSwitzerland – 100 years of activity

For a hundred years, the Swiss Forest Association has been committed to forest owners and the forestry industry. In addition to the corresponding top topic “100th anniversary”, WaldSchweiz will be presenting the revolution in the field of felling aids – the radio felling wedge – at the forestry fair, which can be used to cut down upright trees from a safe distance.

Meeting point Forst, Forêt, Foresta, Foresta” is the name of the classic special show in an ever-changing guise. Codoc is a partner for training issues in forestry and ensures an exciting implementation with a dozen organisations in each case. In 2023, the special show will show how the technical tools of forest management have changed over time and are still changing.

Test your skills as a forestry machine operator!

Organised by the Swiss Association of Forestry Entrepreneurs, provided and supervised by the company Intrass AG, Forst- und Spezialfahrzeugen.

Log splitting championship

Saturday 26 August, 9.30 a.m., outdoor area VZ06

Each Forstmesse participant has to split logs (fir and beech) in a record time. Registration on site is open to everyone until 11.30 a.m. The participant is obliged to take out insurance. The medals will be awarded at 3.30 p.m. in the restaurant in the foyer.
