EHC control’s are becoming more popular in high seat crane equipment

EHC’s are becoming more common in truck cranes, for example, half of the Kesla cranes going to the Nordic countries are ordered with electric controls.

Traditionally, EHC has been available for cabin cranes, but Kesla now offers it for high seat equipment.

It is based on the KESLA proC control system.
Kesla’s EHC system for high seat equipment is based on the electric KESLA proC control system produced in-house.

Kesla’s system allows two control types: two maxi joysticks or two maxi joysticks with two pedals. It is also easy to combine the two options in one crane.

Exposed to moisture in the high seat arrangement, the system only features controllers with a high IP rating. The high seat equipment has been modified to pair up perfectly with the electric control technology, also
including practical improvements, such as the new steps and stylish black colour.

High seat equipment with electric control is available for the straight boom KESLA cranes in the 2112, 2115 and 2117 product families and the new cranes in the 2212Z, 2214Z and 2217Z families.

Benefits of electric control
High seat equipment is usually found in cranes that are not in continuous use or are used in areas where climatic conditions are less demanding than in the Nordic countries.

Until now, high seat equipment’s control system has always been mechanical.

With the long-awaited electric control system, operators of top seat
equipment now have the opportunity to enjoy the comfort and ergonomics of a system with light inputs that can be adjusted accurately and, if necessary, even saved operator-specifically.
