A vacancy has arisen for a Grounds Technical and Forestry Operations Manager based at our Willerby Depot.
You must have previous experience of managing or supervising a grounds maintenance or forestry operational services. A good knowledge of both horticulture and arboriculture is essential. Previous experience of cemetery operations is also desirable. You must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of health and safety issues in relation to these services.
Experience of managing budgets and procuring goods and services as required. This will include managing external contractors to provide grounds and forestry works and to authorise payment on completion.
You will be required to respond to customer complaints and enquiries providing technical knowledge and expertise on grounds and forestry issues. You will also be required to provide senior managers with detailed reports, which include financial and performance data, on Grounds Technical and Forestry Services.
The post will be based at our Willerby depot and will involve travelling to all areas within the East Riding.
