Lars Persson Åkeri specialises in the transport of long electricity and telephone poles, which requires specially manufactured cars. The company found a supplier in Alucar who did everything right from the start.

The customer relationship between Alucar and Lars Persson Åker started at the fair in 2017. Lars Persson Åkeri is based in Rumskulla, Småland, Sweden. Their driver Olof Svensson had heard of Alucar before, and at the fair he started playing ideas with Alucar salesman Thomas Partanen. The discussion led to close cooperation, and three years later Alucar has already delivered a total of six cars to the company.

Lars Persson Åkeri, owned by brothers Fredrik and Johan Persson, specialises in the transport of telephone poles, which imposes its own requirements on cars. The columns can be up to 20 metres long, i.e. significantly longer than logs.

Alucar’s first car built for the transport company was a relatively traditional timber truck, albeit slightly longer than normal. Since then, more and more special solutions have been made for cars.

The projects have been both challenging and interesting for us. For example, the entire tractor car is designed around the crane. This has brought us new expertise and expanded our offering of Made in Maxmo cars built at the factory,” Thomas says.

“We have had very good cooperation from the very beginning. I’ve never been involved in a project where everything goes right since the first construction,” says Fredrik Persson.

Olof Svensson agrees:
– It is very easy to collaborate with the people of Alucar. We have never been allowed to work with such a committed and sharp-eared journalist,” Olof says.

The secret to a well-functioning collaboration is close WhatsApp communication in a group that includes those responsible for design and construction process. In this way, the customer is involved and “on site”, although geographically the car is being built far away.

“We meet to send pictures as often as possible so that the customer can follow the construction process,” Thomas says.

“Let’s get it over with” they always say. I would choose Alucar every day of the week, they always do everything they can to get the customer happy

Olof Svensson

Olof Svensson has been involved in the design of all his cars and is very pleased with the cooperation.

“We have a close connection throughout the process. When we get the finished cars, there will never be any surprises, but they will meet expectations 100%. The best thing about Alucar is their attitude towards customers’ wishes,” Svensson concludes.
