INTERFORST sets the course for the future with a new team

INTERFORST, which will take place from October 15 to 18, 2026 at the Munich exhibition grounds, is entering the next round with an experienced team. Petra Westphal is returning to Messe München as an Exhibition Director and to INTERFORST, for which she has already provided expert support in the past. In this capacity, she will report to Senior Director Cornelia Lutz.

Focus on specialist knowledge

Petra Westphal is highly motivated in her new role as Exhibition Director: “I am delighted to be back on board and to be joining the team in further developing INTERFORST—practical, future-oriented, and with a clear focus on forest conversion for a climate-resilient forest structure and innovative solutions. I am very familiar with the event and, as Exhibition Director, am pleased to be able to devote my attention and actions entirely to the interests of the forestry industry.”

Well-oiled team with connections to the industry

The INTERFORST project group has a high level of expertise. Jasmin Regiert has been part of the INTERFORST team since 2012, is well connected in the industry and hence well-acquainted with the requirements of exhibitors and trade visitors. Anita Mayr and Daniela Bohrer-Glas complete the team. Both have many years of trade fair experience.

With this reorganization, INTERFORST is setting an example for continuity and expertise in project management.

Support from forestry experts

In order to intensify exchanges with industry representatives and further strengthen INTERFORST’s position in the market, Ralf Dreeke (Wahlers Forsttechnik) and Gert Unterreiner (Unterreiner Forstgeräte) will also support INTERFORST as expert consultants in their roles as chairman and deputy chairman of the advisory board. The advisory board works with Messe München to develop the strategic direction of INTERFORST. Other companies represented on the advisory board are HDG Bavaria, Heizomat, Komatsu, MM-Forsttechnik, Posch, Öhler Maschinen, Palfinger, Pfanzelt Maschinenbau, Sailer Baumschulen, Stihl and Woodmizer.

In addition to the advisory board, a committee of institutions and associations supports the trade fair in designing the supporting programme and determining key themes. Members of the committee include the Bavarian State Forestry Department, the Bavarian State Ministry of Food,

Agriculture and Forestry, the Bavarian Forest Owners’ Association, the German Agricultural Society, Forst Holz Bayern, the Wood and Forest Certification Company, Kompostierungs-Service Käßmeier, the Committee for Forestry Work and Forestry Technology, Konrad Forst, Proholz Bayern, the Social Insurance for Agriculture, Forestry and Horticulture, the Technical University of Munich, the University of Göttingen, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna, and the Salzburg Forestry Association.

Relevance of the industry and role of the trade fair

INTERFORST provides a platform for trade visitors, institutions, machine manufacturers, service providers and associations to exchange views and obtain information. It will occupy the entire Hall B6 as well as parts of the outdoor area and be spread over 75,000 square meters. The trade fair will focus on practical solutions, sustainable management and technological developments, networking players along the entire forestry value chain.
