The Unimogs in question had been off the road for some time before Multevo came to the rescue
Unimog Authorised Aftersales Partner, Multevo, recently refurbished two Unimogs to get them back into action. The customer, a specialist arboriculture contractor, had acquired two specialist Utility MEWP units that had been in a long-term storage facility for over 3 years.
Due to the time spent in storage they were unfit for the road and in need of some TLC. They arrived at Multevo’s extensive workshop facilities and works were completed in- house by their Mercedes-Benz trained technicians and included:
- Body fabrication works including side underrun bars, rear midwings, and a rear bumper.
- Installation of rear lights and side marker lights.
- Full set of new tyres.
- Full service.
- MOT checks.
- With over 50 years of main dealer experience, the contractor was in safe hands at Multevo. The refurb project allowed Multevo to showcase their expertise, with various jobs undertaken throughout to ensure the units could be operated to their full
potential again.
On the project, Ben Fury, Service Manager at Multevo comments:
“The customer came to us to re-instate his vehicles ready for daily use with a utility customer. We assessed their Unimogs and gave them a full function and capability test using our test track and custom-built testing equipment.” The customer provides multi-discipline and specialist utility arboriculture surveying and tree management across the UK’s electrical network, regularly operating specialist equipment to deliver safer services. This meant it was important for them to find a dependable partner to execute the works.
