The 2026 calendar will once again culminate with the World Championships – being held this year in Stuttgart, Germany – but the headline news is the reinstatement of the much-loved World Trophy and the introduction of the first ever Women’s World Championships, taking place along with the Rookie World Championship in Budapest, Hungary, over the first weekend of June.

The fan favourite Trophy format will return in September with the European Trophy, being held in Barzkowice, Poland, on 12th and 13th September.
All roads then lead to Stuttgart, with the season highlight World Championships taking place on 30th and 31st October at what is expected to be a sold-out Porsche-Arena.
The standout international competitions, featuring the world’s best elite logger athletes, will be complemented by a comprehensive schedule of national competitions, ensuring this season will be the most axe-tion packed in STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® history.
World Trophy returns as Women’s World Championships debuts
The international TIMBERSPORTS® calendar will kick off with a bumper Budapest weekend, opening on 5th June with the Rookie World Championship before the world’s best female logger athletes take centre stage with an historic first Women’s World Championship on 6th June. The weekend will reach a climax on 6th June with the return of the World Trophy, one of the traditional highlights in the season and one of the most-loved competitions featuring the world’s best choppers and sawyers in the exciting Trophy format. The competition will see defending World Trophy champion and current Individual World Champion, Jack Jordan, attempt to add another prestigious honour to his trophy cabinet.

Europe’s best meet again in September showdown
The global calendar continues on the second weekend of September as the European Trophy touches down in the Polish village of Barzkowice. The continent’s best will go face-to-face looking to secure European bragging rights and the opportunity to qualify for the 2027 World Trophy.
World Championships returns to logger sports mad Stuttgart
The Team and Individual World Championships, the peak moment of the TIMBERSPORTS® season, will be held in Stuttgart. The Porsche-Arena will once again play host to the world’s best logger sportsmen after an electric event three years ago. The stadium is expected to be completely sold out once again as all eyes turn to those hoping to claim Team and Individual world titles on 30th and 31st October.
