The Westtech Woodcracker ® CL tree shear combined with the 40 km/h JCB Hydradig mobile excavator and a Pfanzelt forwarding trailer offers an efficient solution for modern forestry.
The cutting head enables trees to be felled quickly and safely and impresses with its strong grapple and robust, replaceable blade.
The JCB Hydradig 13-tonne wheeled excavator offers excellent all-round visibility thanks to the glass surfaces up to the cab floor, which increases work safety. Its manoeuvrability makes it ideal for narrow areas, such as roadsides, and its low centre of gravity ensures stability even in difficult terrain. With its hydrostatic drive, the Hydradig can reach speeds of up to 40 km/h, enabling fast transport between construction sites.
The removed material is efficiently transported away by forwarding trailer, ensuring a smooth workflow and no downtime. The use of the machines also minimises the risk of accidents, as direct contact between personnel and the trees is reduced.
The Westtech Woodcracker® CL series is available in the sizes CL190, CL260 and CL320.
They are suitable for excavator classes from 2.5 to 20 tonnes and have a cutting diameter of 25 to max. 40 cm.
Manufactured from high-strength Hardox® steel, the Westtech Woodcracker® CL tree shears offer a long service life.
Their low weight allows them to be attached to farm, telescopic, wheeled or skid steer loaders.
These customised attachment options make them the ideal choice for forest owners, farmers and landscape conservationists.
Further practical options are available, such as an accumulator, a cylinder swivel mechanism and the Autospeed function, which accelerates the cutting unit by 30%.
