TMK Grapple Saw is entering into the world of grapple saws with the introduction of their new shear
Many of our existing Tree Shear customers have been asking for us to make a TMK grapple saw for those times when you can’t really use a tree shear eg the tree is too big or you just want to use a saw.
As always we started by thinking of what we could do differently and better than the other alternatives already available on the market.
This lead us to a design that is very compact and using the same principles in mind as with our Tree Shears we achieved a very sturdy package.
It can cut up to 550 mm (21,65″) trees no matter if it’s hard or soft wood. And with a huge opening of 1134 mm (44,64’’) of the two grapple arms you can pick up and move multiple huge logs.
Design & construction
We wanted to simplify the ownership and usability when it comes to grapple saws. This is why the TMK Grapple Saw features an automatic saw lubrication system as well as just one adjustment, which adjusts the speed at which the saw blade moves, that’s it! You don’t have to become a master in hydraulics and electronics to use our Grapple Saw, it is dead simple.
The frame is made out of Hardox 400 steel that is very proven in the machinery world for it’s strength and ability to slightly bend under load, without permanently deforming.
It features the very familiar bolt-on adapter plates from our Tree Shears for easy adaptability even when using multiple different machines.
If your machine doesn’t have a tiltrotator or a tilt it is possible to equip the Grapple Saw with a Rotator which makes it easier to use the saw at an angle for example with branches or angled trees.
The TMK Grapple Saw uses a quality Swedish JPS RX saw unit along with a .404 chain which is a tried and true combo that guarantees good operation and long product life.

TMK twist
As always we didn’t want to just create a product that is the same as every other in the category but rather we wanted to innovate and incorporate more functionality in it, and so the TMK Grapple Saw has a integrated splitting blade that is fixed with one bolt and when not in use it stows away by flipping it 180 degrees.
With the splitting blade you can easily make firewood and even use it for delimbing if you want to.
The TMK Grapple Saw also features a removable guillotine blade that can be locked in place using a pin that is pushed in from the top. With this guillotine blade you can cut smaller branches & trees efficiently without using the chain.

This is a new product in its testing phase. It is only available for test-use pilot customers. We are looking for potential pilot customers, so contact us here if you are interested.
