As of April 1, 2026, Komatsu Forest AB has finalized the acquisition of the Swedish forestry machine manufacturer Malwa Forest AB.
The acquisition strengthens Komatsu’s offering within small, low-impact forestry machines – a segment growing in importance as sustainability and soil protection become increasingly central to modern forestry.
Founded in 2009 in Hyssna, Sweden, Malwa Forest develops and manufactures lightweight machines designed for selective thinning and sensitive environments. Through the acquisition, Malwa becomes part of Komatsu Forest’s global operations, further broadening the company’s solutions for sustainable and efficient forestry.
