Clark Engineering has been appointed as the official UK distributor for PALMS forestry trailers, with the first PALMS trailer build now completed at the company’s Dumfries site.
The appointment adds PALMS forestry trailers to Clark Engineering’s established forestry equipment offering, giving UK customers access to a proven European trailer range through a long-standing forestry engineering business.
PALMS was founded in 1992 as a family business and has grown to become one of Europe’s leading names in forestry trailer manufacturing. With more than 30 years of experience and over 25,000 trailers produced, the brand is well established across the forestry sector.

The first PALMS forestry trailer build completed by Clark Engineering features a PALMS 12U trailer with a 17,000kg gross weight. The trailer has been paired with a Cranab EC8 crane with 9.4m reach, along with a Cranab CR26 grapple, Indexator GV6 rotator and Tamtron One weighing system.
The build has also been specified with a brash container, hydraulic chassis extension, steering drawbar, air brakes, BKT tyres, central greasing system, LED light package, Parker L90 valve and Parker IQAN control system.
Richard Gordon, General Manager at Clark Engineering, said:
“PALMS is a good fit for Clark Engineering because it adds a well-proven forestry trailer range to the work we already do with tractor, crane, grapple, weighing and control system builds.
“Our customers are usually looking for a complete setup that has been thought through properly, with the trailer, crane, grapple, weighing system and controls all working together. This first build is a good example of that approach.
“It brings together a PALMS trailer, Cranab crane, Indexator rotator, Tamtron weighing system and Parker controls in a specification that has been built around how the trailer will actually be used.
“PALMS has a strong reputation in Europe, and we’re pleased to bring the trailer range to customers in the UK with the support and technical knowledge they expect from Clark.”
PALMS trailers are supplied with a 3-year warranty and are now available through Clark Engineering in the UK.
