Forestry England are looking for a Qualified and Trainee Harvester Operator. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Forestry and Land Management (FLM) team in the East District (Thetford).
You will play a key role in our forestry operations, joining a team of experienced harvesting machine operators in Thetford Forest and fulfilling our timber supply contracts.

Job Role
You will be based at Santon Downham Downham as part of the Direct Production Harvesting Team working throughout the Thetford Beat. Using purpose built forestry machines you will work as part of a dedicated team to plan and carry out tree harvesting. You will do this by operating both a forwarder and harvester to mechanically fell trees and extract timber to roadside. You will be required to meet targets in terms of production outputs but more importantly in terms of ensuring all Health, Safety and Environmental conditions are met.
