Key Flag symbol awarded to Ponsse Plc’s Ponsseshop.com Online Store

The Association for Finnish Work has awarded the Key Flag symbol to the Ponsseshop.com Online Store in recognition its Finnish origin and promotion of employment in Finland. The Online Store is home for the high-quality and loved Ponsse Collection products.

The Key Flag symbol is a sign of Finnish work.  The main awarding criterion is that the service is produced in Finland. A company applying for the Key Flag symbol for a service must have a significant Finnish ownership, its management must be based in Finland, and the company headquarters must be located in Finland. In addition, the domestic content of the service must be at least 50 per cent of its break-even cost. The calculation takes into account all production costs of the product.

Ponsseshop.com’s specialist Mikko Nisonen describes that the Key Flag Symbol for an Online Store increases customers’ trust on the service and encourages to shop from a Finnish store. This also boosts the growth of digital sales in Finland.

The Key Flag symbol is well known in Finland. According to a study conducted by the Association for Finnish Work, nearly all business executives and consumers recognise the symbol. 68 per cent of Finns say that the Key Flag symbol has a positive influence on their purchase decisions. Nearly 94 per cent of Key Flag companies state that the symbol supports the sales of their products and services,” says Pohjoiskoski.
