Komatsu Celebrates 100 Years
One of the world’s leading manufacturers of forestry, construction and mining equipment celebrates 100 years on May 13, 2021. At the same time, the company celebrates 60 years in the forest.
Established in Komatsu City, Japan, Komatsu has committed to quality and reliability and during a century worked to nurture the trust of customers, shareholders, distributors, suppliers, business partners, and all other stakeholders. Komatsu is represented through a large number of companies around the world. Since 2004, Komatsu Forest has been part of the Komatsu Group but has for 60 years been synonymous with innovations and solutions for sustainable forestry. When Komatsu celebrates 100 years, it does so as one Komatsu by agreeing all Komatsu companies in a common corporate identity.
Komatus’ values are made clear through a new visual identity and the promise to create value together for a sustainable future. With “Creating value together”, Komatsu wants to highlight the partnership needed to translate the needs of society, customers and other stakeholders into solutions that create value for future generations as well.
In the coming year, Komatsu will celebrate its 100th anniversary through a series of activities related to the company’s values. Looking into the next 100 years, Komatsu will continue to move forward with its stakeholders as it creates value through manufacturing and technology innovation to empower a sustainable future where people, businesses and our planet thrive together.
