MANTSINEN INTRODUCES THE NEW MANTSINEN 90 WITH GEN3 CONTROL SYSTEM INDUSTRIAL MATERIAL HANDLER
Mantsinen Group Ltd Oy today announces the launch of the new Mantsinen 90, a redesigned material handling machine that combines significantly increased lifting capacity with the future‑proof GEN3 control system. Built on decades of experience in heavy-duty material handling, the Mantsinen 90 is designed for ports, terminals, and industrial environments where performance, safety, and uptime are critical.

Stronger, Safer, Smarter
The new Mantsinen 90 delivers up to 40% more lifting capacity compared to previous generations, thanks to a stronger structure and larger hydraulic cylinders. The redesign preserves the proven strengths of earlier Mantsinen machines while introducing smarter solutions that enhance durability and operational efficiency in demanding conditions.
Designed for modern material handling environments, the Mantsinen 90 is available with both diesel and electric power options with a reach of up to 28 meters. A renewed machine layout with service walkways, modular construction, and improved access points simplifies maintenance, enhances safety, and maximizes uptime where availability matters most.
“The market response to the new Mantsinen 90 has been positive, with the first machines already sold and successfully introduced into operation. This confirms the demand for a next-generation material handling solution that combines high lifting capacity with modern control technology,” says Patrik Starck, Sales Director at Mantsinen Group.
Sustainability has been an integral part of the Mantsinen 90 design. Energy-efficient hydraulic solutions, electric power options, and a long service life support lower environmental impact throughout the machine’s lifecycle.
GEN3 Control System – Future Proofed Tomorrow
At the heart of the new Mantsinen 90 is the GEN3 control system, developed to improve operator comfort, usability, and connectivity while meeting the future-proof safety requirements. The system has been developed in collaboration with Epec Oy, a provider of advanced control systems and software solutions for mobile machinery.
“GEN3 is not just a new control system – it is a platform designed to support the future of material handling. We have built it to meet upcoming safety requirements while enabling digital services and automation that will define the next generation of machines,” says Simo Huovinen, Product Management Director at Mantsinen Group.
With the new control system, Mantsinen continues its long-standing role as a frontrunner in material handling technology introducing solutions that later become industry benchmarks. The completely renewed control platform is designed to support future safety standards, digital services, and automation, setting the direction for the next generation of material handling machines.
“GEN3 is the result of joint development between Mantsinen and Epec. By combining deep control system expertise and long‑standing machine experience from both companies, we created a modular architecture designed for reliable operation and long-term development,” says Jussi Rintamäki, Product Manager at Epec Oy.
