As Sourcing Manager, you lead and develop the acquisition of new product projects for PONSSE forest machines. Your task is to ensure cost-effectiveness in component procurement, identify suppliers and components, and involve suppliers in our new product projects. You plan, analyze, and prepare the selection of vendors together with procurement team responders. You are responsible for the development, quality and process schedules of the acquisition costs of new product components. You are strongly involved in developing ponsse’s procurement practices.
You are at the box seat when developing new technology and working closely with our product development. You are a procurement expert in new product projects, you work for the Ponsse Group’s procurement organization and you report to the procurement and logistics manager. Your location is primarily in the heart of Vieremä Savo, but Kajaani, Kuopio or Tampere are also possible. We also have the possibility of partial teleworking.
We expect you to have a suitable technical degree and experience in similar procurement tasks and supplier cooperation, preferably in the manufacturing industry. You must be familiar with procurement processes, methods, and tools, and you must understand the principles of product cost accounting. You have a solution-oriented, goal-oriented and responsible approach to work and are enthusiastic about continuous development. You work systematically and with good heart can also be done in the midst of change. Your Finnish and English skills are fluent and you are prepared for intermite travel. Savo’s management may or may not be an advantage.
