Apprentice quarry operator to progress to supervisor.

Due to extensive confirmed and up and coming contracts Rjt Crushing requires a trainee contract crushing quarry operator to progress up to supervisory level through time.

CPCS Health and safety test and machine tickets would be advantage, but not necessary, and able to operate plant.

Agricultural background would be preferred.

The job will invovle the operation of heavy quarry plant, carrying out daily preventive maintenance to the crushers, reporting any defects of the machinery to your supervisor, working within a tight team and ensuring that all the machines are working productively.

The job involves long hours and hard heavy dirty work.

The Candidate Preferred

* 20 years of age +

* Must have a genuine interest in machinery.

* Have a good attitude towards health and safety.

* Able to carry out basic daily preventative maintenance to the machines.

* Able to work within a team.

* Able to problem solve.

* Must have driving license.

* Able to work long hours.

* Able to work Saturdays when required.

Full Training will be given in the bellow,

* Spa quarry passport

* NVQ Plant tickets

* Geotechnical training

* Welding and cutting

* First Aid training

* OEM Terex factory training on machine maintenance.

We work nationwide but mainly north east of England and central belt of Scotland.

The candidate will be required to work away from home.
