Two hybrid harvesters and two largest Logset forwarders arrived in Russia to work in Ust-Ilimsk (Irkutsk Oblast). The giants, Logset 12H GTE Hybrid and Logset 12F GT are designed for efficient and economical harvesting.
As a result of the most modern technology in the world, the hybrid system offers the Logset 12H GTE Hybrid harvester two benefits at once: increased productivity and an extremely low cost of ownership. The hybrid system – unlike internal combustion engines – does not need to operate at peak power. Engine stability translates into significant fuel savings, longer engine life and lower maintenance costs.
The Logset 12F GT is the largest forwarder in the Logset range, in fact it is the largest forwarder on the forestry machine market, capable of transporting massive volumes of wood. With a 300 hp engine and 250 kN tractive force, the Logset 12F GT is unrivaled in performance. This forwarder incorporates new technologies and many convenient features. The new patented Brake Assist and Protection (DeX) system ensures the highest efficiency even in the most challenging terrains.
“Our interest in Finnish Logset machines was awakened due to their reliability, efficiency and ease of maintenance. Logset has also specialized in the revolutionary hybrid technology, which is used in their hybrid harvesters, which allows to reduce the peak load on the internal combustion engine and reduce fuel consumption by up to 20 %”, said Aleksey Trusov, Chief Engineer of Power of Siberia, to LPK Siberia magazine.
“Today the Russian market is the most promising for Logset. I am very pleased that the world’s most advanced technologies will be used in the Siberian taiga for environmentally friendly and efficient harvesting. We are very pleased to cooperate with the Innovations holding, one of the leaders in the forest market in the Irkutsk Region and Krasnoyarsk Territory”, states Juha Kirvesniemi, Country Director of Logset Oy in Russia.
Logset Oy is a Finnish forestry machine manufacturer that supplies machines all over the world.
