The Komatsu C93 receives a well-deserved update for the new model year. Among the enhancements are a redesigned valve block and improved hydraulics for the feeding system, both of which contribute to increased productivity and enhanced user experience. For the most part, these are the same upgrades that have been done for the C124, ensuring that both heads align in terms of performance and maintain the same high standards of productivity and quality.
One of the standout enhancements of the updated Komatsu C93 is the new valve bank, which brings increased durability, less wear, and minimized energy losses—contributing to lower fuel consumption. Additionally, the pressure control for the front and rear knives has been optimized for enhanced precision, with all adjustments now fully handled via software.

This enables operators to easily configure and maintain the correct pressure settings over time, directly from the cab. The hydraulics for the tilt functions have also been upgraded, providing smoother operation and potentially improving measurement accuracy during processing.
Advanced Length Measuring as Standard
To maintain consistent and high-quality measurements, Advanced Length Measuring is now a standard feature on the C93. This upgrade includes a reinforced cylinder and redesigned mechanics to minimize wear and tear.
Redesigned Saw Unit
The saw unit has been improved with greater clearance between the saw bar and the frame, reducing the risk of collisions. A strengthened, curved base plate increases durability while decreasing the head’s ground footprint. The new design also creates more space around the saw motor, simplifying daily maintenance.

Enhanced Options and Upgrades
The 2025 model includes several new options and improvements to enhance efficiency and operator convenience. The “Find End” option, for example, streamlines operations by resetting length measurements without requiring a new cut, reducing waste. This feature has been updated with a more robust lens and a debris-resistant design for increased longevity.
A head-mounted, integrated working light—previously available on other C-heads—is now an option for the C93 as well. This light improves visibility, making it easier for the operator to position the head against the tree while also reducing the risk of accidentally cutting into rocks or other obstacles in the forest.
Additional upgrades include more robust bushings with effective sealing for the front delimbing knives. The smaller option for feed wheel motors now has a feed speed of 6 m/s, making it more effective. Together, these updates make the Komatsu C93 a more efficient, durable, and operator-friendly harvesting head, delivering greater productivity and reliability in even the toughest working environments
