New Stihl MS400 with groundbreaking performance in the 60cc class
STIHL strengthens its position as a global market leader and manufacturer of equipment and products for forestry, horticulture and landscaping with the launch of the MS 400 chainsaw.
The new chainsaw has been developed specifically for forestry professionals. The MS 400 takes forestry work to the next level with its outstanding efficiency and ease of use.
The groundbreaking MS 400 offers the best power-to-weight ratio in the 60cc class, making it an excellent chainsaw for felling, pruning and cutting branches. Despite its impressive power output of 3.9 kW, the MS 400 weighs only 5.5 kg, making the chainsaw extremely easy to handle and operate.
“STIHL is looking forward to launching the STIHL MS 400 chainsaw on the market and adding a new high-performance chainsaw to its product segment. The saw is the perfect choice for forestry professionals. They need a powerful, reliable and versatile chainsaw to meet the demanding challenges of forestry,” says Mats Gustafsson, Product Launch Manager, STIHL Norden.
The MS 400 significantly reduces working time and enables more efficient forestry work thanks to its high torque of 4.3 Nm and impressive acceleration. The bottom of the machine has a straight-line grille for smooth maneuverability along the log. The grille also minimizes dirt build-up, taking less time to clean.
The new HD2 air filter has an improved design, which extends service intervals. Electrically heated handles (VW) provide comfort and performance even in cold conditions. The MS 400 chainsaw also features a new design and softer and rounder lines, which improves ergonomics.
