What’s on at APF 2024
Forestry has undergone radical changes in recent years and the APF exhibition has had to evolve, from the timber harvesting event it once was, to keep up with the demands…
The APF Exhibition is the UK’s largest forestry, woodland, arboriculture, fencing and biomass show. The show caters not just for the forestry, woodland and tree care industries but also fencing and is of significant interest to the farming industry with lot of machines and equipment designed for small woodlands and for adding value to small parcels of timber and individual trees. Producing and utilising timber as woodfuel whether as firewood or woodchips is also strongly featured as are biomass boilers.
At the first APF Exhibition in 1976 there were around 50 exhibitors and a couple of thousand visitors, nobody really counted in those days! APF 2018 took the event to a new level. 320 exhibitors and 22000 visitors, 90% of whom are trade professionals, came along. The visitor numbers are a reflection of the importance the industry now regards the show as the place to come to inspect and buy new equipment. With new exhibitors from as far afield as Japan and America the APF Demo has truly become a major international event. Visitors are treated to a wide display of machines and equipment than ever before. A conservative estimate puts the value of machines on show at around £60 million!
