In early March this year, two grapple saws Woodcracker® CS750 smart were delivered to two Austrian customers working in local landscape maintenance. The grapple saws were attached to two Manitou telescopic handlers. Therefore, Westtech worked closely with the Manitou-importer for Austria: Alpina Bühnen from Vienna.
Alpina Bühnen based in Vienna was established 25 years ago and has its focus on working platforms and fork lift trucks for industry, business and building sector. Gradually the enterprise started importing Manitou telescopic handlers directly from the manufacturer in France. The two new customers of Alpina were looking for a suitable work machine for local landscape maintenance and green care in their home town. Michael Rath is based in St. Pölten, Lower Austria, the company Bioenergie Steinkellner comes from Judenburg, Styria.
Both decided for a telescopic handler MRT 3050 Privilege Plus. This model provides 30m range and 5 tons lifting force. The telescopic boom is operated by joystick, which makes working easy and fast. Both hands can stay on the joysticks with no need to change grip.
The two companies chose the grapple saw Woodcracker® CS750 smart as attachment – to be perfectly prepared for landscape maintenance. This Woodcracker® model is particularly designed to be mounted to rotating telescopic handlers and is an asset for tree care in urban areas. Due to its powerful grippers, the cut material stays safe in place during the cutting process and surrounding buildings are not damaged.
A strong, endlessly rotatable tiltator makes sure that every limb and branch of the tree are grabbed safely. The saw has a cutting diameter of 750mm.
The machine combo Manitou MRT 350 with the grapple saw Woodcracker® CS750 smart ensures highest safety for tree removals in urban areas. Since the telescopic handler has a road approval up to 40km/h, the whole equipment can be moved easily from one site to another and saves setup time.
