Hultdins have redesigned the SG420 + SG420R Grapples

Now it’s time to present the new designed SG420 and SG420R!

The updated Hultdins mid-size grapples are developed based on the proven S-line concept, bringing the Heavy-Duty design into a more compact format. The redesign includes stronger materials, optimized geometry, and improved durability — all developed in close cooperation with our end users, with focus on real customer benefits.

• 80,000 Hours

  That’s a remarkable amount of work hours for a single machine, the Norcar 600 owned by Erkki Rinne is taken well care of, it even has the original Diesel engine.
• Kieran Anders Forestry

  Kieran Anders is a forestry contractor working in the lake district. His work involves hand cutting and extracting timber using a skidder and tractor-trailer forwarder.
• Promoting safety in the workplace

  It is not possible to eliminate chain shot, but there are simple steps that can be taken to reduce the risk.

  Arwel takes great pride in the fact that the mill has no waste whatsoever, “the peelings are used for children’s playgrounds, gardens and for farm animals in barns in the winter and the sawdust has multiple uses in gardens and farms as well.

The new SG420 and SG420R offer significant improvements:

• Optimized geometry – enhanced performance, improved grip characteristics and smoother material flow.
• Wear-resistant tip plates – increased service life in demanding applications (SG420).
• Reduced weight – 8% lower weight, improving fuel efficiency.
• R-model reinforcement – SG420R includes additional strengthening beyond the standard model.
