Tero Järvinen steps down to pursue other career opportunities, with the transfer of the forestry track production from Scotland to Loimaa now complete. During his tenure the company grew in international markets, first in Europe and later in North and South America. In recent years he has also been instrumental in accelerating the development of new track and chain products. To ensure a smooth handover and continuity for customers and partners, he will continue to serve as Senior Advisor to the company and will remain a co-owner.
Perttu Aho joins Nordic Traction Group from Robit Plc, where he has led the company’s Down-the-Hole business as Vice President and served as a member of the Group Management Team. He brings with him broad international experience in sales and distribution channel development, industrial manufacturing of consumables and general management, gained in demanding markets across Europe, Asia and North America.
“Nordic Traction Group has been a large part of my working life, and I am proud of what this team has built. Bringing our track production to Loimaa was a demanding project, and seeing it through to a steady, single-site operation was the right way to close that chapter. With that work behind us, I have decided that this is the right moment for me to hand over and for someone new to take the company forward. I want to thank our employees, customers and partners for their trust over these years, and I wish Perttu and the whole team every success.”
— Tero Järvinen, outgoing Chief Executive Officer
“What drew me to Nordic Traction Group is a rare combination of domestic manufacturing roots in Loimaa going back well over a century, combined with premium consumables that professionals around the world genuinely depend on in the most demanding conditions. That is a strong foundation to expand on. What I am looking forward to most now is getting to know our people — in Loimaa and across the organisation — and meeting our customers and dealers out in the field, where our products actually do their work. My first priority is to listen carefully before I draw any conclusions.”
— Perttu Aho, incoming Chief Executive Officer
“On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Tero for more than fifteen years of committed leadership. He guided the company through its separation from the Gunnebo Industries Group, through a change of ownership and through the relocation of our track manufacturing to Loimaa — each of them a demanding transition. Throughout, he sustained the business and retained the trust of our customers and our people. The Board is grateful for his contribution. In Perttu we have found a leader with strong industrial and international experience and a hands-on way of working, and we look forward to working with him as the company enters its next phase.”
— Anssi Poutanen, Chairman of the Board, Nordic Traction Group
