Explanation
M3sub refers to solid cubic meter without bark.
The prices represent averages for volume-weighted quantities of roundwood and are reported in current prices, without adjustment for inflation.
The calculated price is the price that the forest owner receives after the harvest, referring to the price at the roadside. Various forms of additions, and price deductions are included. No deductions are made for transport to industry, harvesting costs, or future regeneration costs. The price is thus calculated after the measurement at industry, and companies that purchase roundwood from forest owners report price data for roundwood that has been calculated during the previous quarter.
When comparing between regions, it should be considered that different regional conditions may affect such comparisons.
A harvesting assignment is a delivery form in which the harvesting is carried out by, or on behalf of, the roundwood buyer.
Delivery timber is a delivery method in which the forest owner personally, with the help of employees or contractors, delivers the wood to a roadside location.
